NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that former Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro will visit the Miami Dolphins this Thursday. This comes just one day after linebacker Terence Garvin signed with the team. Garvin played fifteen games(with three starts) for the Seattle Seahawks, while Vaccaro is a former first round pick.
Some have questioned why the Dolpins would be interested in Vaccaro seeing how they already have the talented safety tandem of Reshad Jones and T.J. McDonald. Then again Mel Kiper Jr think they should take safety Derwin James from FSU in the first round.
The Dolphins have also been connected with Roquan Smith from Georgia the top linebacker in this years NFL Draft.
What does all this mean?
Absolutely nothing.
Teams like covering their bases. They could just as easily take a linebacker or safety in this draft as they could take a quarterback or tight end. By making these moves it allows them to simply take the best for them in the draft.
Adding talented players can only be good for the Dolphins. It creates competition. Competition makes everyone better.
It will make this team better.
